Rules

  1. The Club shall be called the "Teddington Table Tennis Club".  It shall consist of a limited number of ladies and gentlemen, the limit to be fixed from time to time by the committee.
  2. The Presidents and Vice-Presidents shall be appointed by invitation at the Annual General meeting.
  3. The Management of the Club shall be vested in a Committee, which shall have the power to deal with any circumstances not covered by these rules.  The Committee shall consist of Chairman, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Honorary League Match Secretary and one other member. Members of the Committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.  Five members shall form a quorum at a Committee Meeting, and the Committee shall have the power to fill any vacancy that may arise thereon.  An Honorary Auditor shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting.
  4. The Annual Subscription shall be fixed at the Annual General Meeting.
  5. Subscriptions shall become due on or before 30th September each year.  Any member whose subscription is in arrears shall, at the discretion of the Committee, cease to exercise any of the privileges of membership, but shall be liable for any sum due to the Club.
  6. In case of any deficit, the Committee shall be empowered to levy a pro rata contribution from all members.
  7. The Committee shall have the power to elect members.
  8. Members shall be entitled to introduce guests to the Club at the discretion of the Committee, on a payment of a fee to be fixed at the Annual General Meeting for each guest, adult or junior, per evening.  No guest shall play on more than 3 evenings during a season. Prospective members may attend as guests but guest fees will not be returnable on full subscription.
  9. Any complaints or suggestions shall be made to the Secretary in writing.
  10. The Committee shall be empowered, if they consider it desirable, to make bye laws for the better carrying out of these rules.
  11. These Rules shall not be altered or rescinded except by consent of a majority of Members in General Meeting.  Fourteen days notice in writing shall be given to the Secretary of any suggested addition, alteration or rescission, and notice there of shall be given to each member when the meeting is convened.
  12. The Annual General Meeting shall be held after the Local League(s) AGM(s) and before the start of the new league season, 4 weeks notice shall be given via the Website, email and the club notice board.
  13. A Special General Meeting can be called at the request in writing of not less than 3 members. The resolution to be considered, together with the names of the proposers, to be handed in writing to the Secretary who shall give seven days notice of such Meeting, to each member.
  14. The Rules of the ETTA shall be the Rules of the Club as regards play.
    Bye law - The Committee shall have the power to reserve tables for matches and tournaments.
    Bye law - When all tables are occupied the Club reserves the right to limit play to 15 minute periods, players must vacate the table if asked by waiting members.
